About Garware College of Commerce
MES Garware College of Commerce was established in 1967 as an independent commerce college, Pune. The college was renamed as “M.E.S. Garware College of Commerce” in 1971. At present the College provides education up to Ph.D. level. The strength of students is about 3000. The college is permanently affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University. College bagged ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), scoring grade points 3.45 out of 4 (in 3rd cycle). It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The college has adequate infrastructure that includes excellent buildings & library, well equipped computer laboratories, reading halls, hostel, gymnasium.

Intake capacity
The intake capacity for F.Y., S.Y., and T.Y., B.Com is of 120 students in each division. College provides the facility of 5 divisions for each class. The college follows the reservation rules as per government of Maharashtra and the university norms.
Eligibility
No Candidates shall be admitted to the First Year of the B.Com. Degree Course (2019 pattern) unless he/she has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent or University with English as a passing Course.
No candidate shall be admitted to the Third Semester examination of the second year unless he/ she has cleared first two semesters satisfactorily for the course at the college affiliated to this University.
No candidate shall be admitted to the Third Year B.Com. (Fifth semester) Degree Course (2019 pattern) unless he/she has cleared all the papers of first and second semester Examination of F.Y. B.Com. and has satisfactorily kept terms for the second year (Third and Fourth Semester) and also fifth semester for the third year of B.Com) satisfactorily in a college affiliated to this University.
Medium of instructions
The medium of instruction in this college, for all the courses is English only.

F.Y.B.Com – 11.10 a.m to 4.30 p.m (timing may be prepared as per optional subjects.)
S.Y.B.Com, T.Y.B.Com, M.Com. – 7.15 a.m to 11.45 a.m

The University has revised the syllabus for B.Com and M.Com courses in June 2019 and introduced Choice Based Credit System(CBCS) for B.Com.

Eligibility
- A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree course in Bachelor of Business Administration should have passed 12th Std. examination(H.S.C.10+2) from any stream with English as passing subject and should have secured 40% marks in 12th Std.
- Two years Diploma in Pharmacy after H.S.C, Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
- Three year Diploma course (after S.S.C., i.e. 10th Standard) of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
- Minimum Competency Vocational Courses
- Every eligible candidate has to pass a Common Aptitude Test will be conducted by the respective Institute/College.
