The given poem 'The Way to Success' is written by Reverend Norman Macleod (3 June 1812 – 16 June 1872). He was a Scottish pastor and writer. He was a religious figure and was largely instrumental in strengthening the Scottish Church.

In the poem, the poet Norman Macleod advises young children to be successful in life. He asks the boys to hit the nail directly on his head and drive the nail straight. What the poet means to say is that there should be a clear goal at a very young age and aim to achieve it in the right way. That is, a person should be determined to achieve his goal.

A piece of iron can be any shape when it is red hot. Similarly the poet advised that one should develop good habits and start moving towards his goal without any hesitation. A good start should be made because a work that starts well is half-finished. Never miss a good opportunity and use it to reach your goal.

The poet advises young children to do their work with a strong will. Those who want to reach the top of a hill, that is, want to achieve anything, they should climb the hill. If we do not try to climb a hill and stand down and look at the sky, we cannot reach the top.

We should try to climb the hill first. Often we may fail to succeed but we should never lose our hope. We must try and try again. Failure is the stepping stone to success. So if we keep trying, we will definitely get success in the end.

दी गई कविता 'द वे टू सक्सेस' रेवर्नड नॉर्मन मैकलॉड (3 जून 1812 - 16 जून 1872) द्वारा लिखी गई है। वह एक स्कॉटिश पादरी और लेखक थे। वह एक धार्मिक व्यक्ति थे और स्कॉटिश चर्च को मजबूत करने के काम में काफी हद तक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी।

कविता में कवि नॉर्मन मैकलोड छोटे बच्चों को जीवन में सफल होने की सलाह देते हैं। वह लड़कों को सीधे उसके सिर पर कील मारकर कील को सीधा चलाने के लिए कहता है। कवि के कहने का अर्थ है कि बहुत कम उम्र में एक स्पष्ट लक्ष्य होना चाहिए और इसे सही तरीके से प्राप्त करने का लक्ष्य होना चाहिए। यानी व्यक्ति को अपने लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए दृढ़ संकल्प होना चाहिए।

लोहे का एक टुकड़ा लाल गर्म होने पर किसी भी आकार का हो सकता है। इसी तरह कवि ने सलाह दी कि व्यक्ति को अच्छी आदतों का विकास करना चाहिए और बिना किसी हिचकिचाहट के अपने लक्ष्य की ओर बढ़ना शुरू करना चाहिए। एक अच्छी शुरुआत करनी चाहिए क्योंकि जिस काम की शुरुआत अच्छी होती है वह आधा अधूरा होता है। एक अच्छे अवसर को कभी नहीं गंवाना चाहिए और इसका उपयोग अपने लक्ष्य तक पहुंचने के लिए करना चाहिए।

कवि छोटे बच्चों को दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति के साथ अपना काम करने की सलाह देता है। जो लोग किसी पहाड़ी की चोटी पर पहुंचना चाहते हैं, यानी कुछ भी हासिल करना चाहते हैं, उन्हें पहाड़ी पर चढ़ना चाहिए। यदि हम एक पहाड़ी पर चढ़ने की कोशिश नहीं करते हैं और नीचे खड़े होकर आकाश को देखते हैं तो हम शीर्ष पर नहीं पहुंच सकते हैं।

हमें पहले पहाड़ी पर चढ़ने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए। अक्सर हम सफल होने में असफल हो सकते हैं लेकिन हमें अपनी आशा कभी नहीं खोनी चाहिए। हमें कोशिश करनी चाहिए और फिर से कोशिश करनी चाहिए। असफलता ही सफलता की सीढ़ी है। इसलिए यदि हम प्रयास करते रहें तो अंत में हमें सफलता अवश्य मिलेगी।
