The poem 'Friend of Nature' by W.H. Davis. The poet is addressing the readers and proudly declares that whatever the reader thinks or says about him, his opinion is that all things love him. This is because he does not choose any flowers that attract bees.

Summer moths are not afraid of him and fly away in fear. They think that his hands are like the wind and the sun gently caressing his wings. The garden mouse is daring to come to him to play because he knows the poet will not harm him but he is wary of that too.

The wren (a small bird) is familiar to the poet. If the poet saw it in its nest, it would not flutter in worry. She will rest peacefully in her nest because she knows that the poet will not steal her eggs.

Cows grazing lazy in the fields are also friendly to the poet. They are also familiar with his voice. If the edges of the field had not stopped them, they would have followed him to his house, when they heard his voice.

He can proudly declare that his horse knows that his hand cannot hold the whip, that he is not cruel to his horse. So whatever people think they say that all things like horse, cow, rat, bird, moth and bees love the poet because he is a true nature lover.

कविता 'प्रकृति का मित्र' W.H. डेविस। कवि पाठकों को संबोधित कर रहा है और गर्व से घोषणा करता है कि पाठक उसके बारे में जो कुछ भी सोचे या कहें, उसकी राय है कि सभी चीजें उससे प्यार करती हैं। ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि वह मधुमक्खियों को आकर्षित करने वाले किसी भी फूल को नहीं चुनता है।

गर्मियों के पतंगे उससे डरते नहीं हैं और डरकर उड़ जाते हैं। वे सोचते हैं कि उसके हाथ हवा और सूरज की तरह हैं जो धीरे से उनके पंखों को सहलाते हैं। बाग़ का चूहा खेलने के लिए उसके पास आने की हिम्मत कर रहा है क्योंकि वह जानता है कि कवि उसे नुकसान नहीं पहुँचाएगा लेकिन वह उससे भी सावधान है।

व्रेन (एक छोटा पक्षी) कवि से परिचित है। यदि कवि ने इसके घोंसले में देखा तो यह चिंता में नहीं फड़फड़ाता। वह अपने घोंसले में शांति से विश्राम करेगी क्योंकि वह जानती है कि कवि उसके अंडे नहीं चुराएगा।

खेतों में आलसी चरने वाली गायें भी कवि के अनुकूल हैं। वे उसकी आवाज से भी परिचित हैं। यदि मैदान के किनारों ने उन्हें नहीं रोका होता, तो वे उसके पीछे उसके घर तक जाते, जब वे उसकी आवाज सुनते थे।

वह गर्व से घोषणा कर सकता है कि उसका घोड़ा जानता है कि उसका हाथ चाबुक नहीं पकड़ सकता, वह अपने घोड़े के प्रति क्रूर नहीं है। तो लोग जो कुछ भी सोचते हैं वह कहते हैं कि घोड़ा, गाय, चूहा, पक्षी, पतंगा और मधुमक्खियां जैसी सभी चीजें कवि से प्यार करती हैं क्योंकि वह एक सच्चा प्रकृति प्रेमी है।
