The text given is 'Neerja Bhanot'; Brave in Life, Brave in Death" is about a brave Indian woman who gave her life to save the lives of others.

Neerja Banot was born on 7 September 1963 in Chandigarh to Rama Bhanot and journalist Harish Banot. He studied at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, Bombay Scottish School and St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She joined the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73 in 1986 as a senior flight purser at Pan Am Airlines.

PA 73 was hijacked by terrorists on their way from Mumbai to Frankfurt. Even after reaching Karachi, the flight was on the tarmac. When terrorists attacked Neerja alerted the cockpit crew. The three-man cockpit crew - the pilot, co-pilot and flight engineer - fled the plane. Neerja took over. The hijackers shot an American.

The terrorists instructed Neerja to submit the passports of all the passengers so that they could identify the American citizens. Since there were 40 Americans on board, he hid the passports. After seventeen hours when the terrorists opened fire and planted explosives, Neerja opened the emergency door and helped several passengers escape.

She died while saving three children from terrorist's bullets. She is the youngest recipient of the Ashok Chakra, the highest civilian award for bravery. She is recognized as the 'heroine of Hijack'.
