टैगोर कहते हैं कि भगवान केवल उस मंदिर तक ही सीमित नहीं हैं जहां भक्त मन लगाकर बैठता है। वह भक्त को मंत्रों के जाप, गायन और कथा का त्याग करने की सलाह देते हैं। वह भक्तों से अपनी आंखें खोलने, अज्ञानता से बाहर आने और यह देखने के लिए कहते हैं कि भगवान उनके सामने नहीं हैं। उनके अनुसार जहां जोतने वाला जमीन जोत रहा है और पथ-निर्माता पत्थरों को तोड़ रहा है, वहां ईश्वर पाया जाता है।

वह धूप और बारिश में उनके साथ है और उसका वस्त्र धूल से ढका हुआ है। कवि भक्त से कहता है कि वह अपना पावन वस्त्र उतार दे और देवता की भाँति धूल मिट्टी पर उतर आ जाए, कवि कहता है कि मन्दिरों में मुक्ति नहीं मिलती। ईश्वर ने सृष्टि की सीमाओं को अपने ऊपर ले लिया है और हमेशा के लिए हमारे साथ बंधा हुआ है। इसलिए वह भक्त से मंदिर में अपना ध्यान और फूल और धूप ले जाने के लिए कहते हैं और महसूस करते हैं कि भगवान स्वयं में हैं।

वह भक्त को टिलर में शामिल होने और उसके साथ कड़ी मेहनत करने के लिए कहता है। अगर हमारे कपड़े फटे और दागदार हैं तो कोई नुकसान नहीं है। कवि ने इस प्रकार भक्त को मन बंद करके मंदिर के अंदर बैठने की सलाह दी और उसे सामाजिक रूप से उपयोगी उत्पादक कार्य करने के लिए कहा।
