This lesson gives a moral lesson about how revenge will be a way of their own demise. The story begins with a strange bird that has two heads with a single body called Bermuda. Once the first head got a delicious fruit like nectar. The second head felt like a fast but the first head refused to give it to him as he wanted to give it to his beloved wife, Tatilatha. Disappointed by this, the other took revenge by eating the poisonous fruit, killing both the ends. Taking moral vengeance leaves the mind empty which ends in self-destruction.

The second story is about Brahmadatta who lived in a town called Varanavarta when he was planning to move to another village, his mother advised him not to travel alone. Finally he gave a crab kept in the camphor box to take with him. When he got tired, he stopped and took rest under the tree. A snake came out of the hollow of the tree due to the smell of camphor, which swallowed the trunk. The crab came out of the box and killed the snake. When Brahmadatta awoke he saw the living crab and the dead snake, he realized that the crab had saved him. From this he came to know that he saved her from death by obeying his mother.

यह सबक इस बारे में एक नैतिक शिक्षा देता है कि कैसे बदला उनके अपने निधन का एक तरीका होगा। कहानी एक अजीब पक्षी के साथ शुरू होती है जिसके एक ही शरीर के साथ दो सिर होते हैं जिसे बरमूडा कहा जाता है। एक बार पहले सिर को अमृत जैसा स्वादिष्ट फल मिला। दूसरे सिर को उपवास की तरह लगा लेकिन पहले सिर ने उसे देने से इनकार कर दिया क्योंकि वह अपनी प्यारी पत्नी ततिलथा को देना चाहता था। इससे निराश होकर दूसरे ने जहरीला फल खाकर बदला ले लिया जिससे दोनों सिरों की मौत हो गई। नैतिक प्रतिशोध लेने से मन खाली हो जाता है जिसका अंत स्वयं के विनाश में होता है।

दूसरी कहानी ब्रह्मदत्त के बारे में है जो वारणावर्त नामक शहर में रहता था जब वह दूसरे गाँव में जाने की योजना बना रहा था, उसकी माँ ने उसे अकेले यात्रा न करने की सलाह दी। अंत में उसने कपूर के डिब्बे में रखा एक केकड़ा अपने साथ ले जाने के लिए दिया। थक जाने पर वह रुक गया और पेड़ के नीचे विश्राम करने लगा। कपूर की महक से पेड़ के खोखले से एक सांप निकला जो संदूक को निगल गया। केकड़ा बॉक्स से बाहर आया और सांप को मार डाला। जब ब्रह्मदत्त जागे तो उन्होंने जीवित केकड़े और मरे हुए सांप को देखा, उन्होंने महसूस किया कि केकड़े ने उन्हें बचा लिया है। इससे उसे पता चला कि उसने अपनी मां की बात मानकर उसे मौत से बचा लिया।
