This dialogue takes place between two cousins, Dev and Suvigya. Dev has recently visited Kanha Kisli and is very excited. He wants to share his adventures and experiences with his cousin.

Dev: Suvigya, have you seen Kanha Kisli?
Suvigya: What is that?
God: Oh! Don't you know anything about it?
This is a very beautiful national park.

Suvigya: Where is it located?
Dev: It is 83 km from Balaghat near Jabalpur in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. Is located at a distance.
Suvigya: How can we get there?
Dev: We can reach there by bus. We can reach there by rail and also by plane. The nearest railway station and airport is Jabalpur.

Suvigya: God, tell me more about Kanha.
Dev: Kanha National Park came into existence in 1955. Since then it has been protected due to its flora and fauna. Many species of wild animals are found here. It is one of the most beautiful and operated national parks in Asia. It attracts thousands of jungle lovers and tourists in suitable season. It is also a source of inspiration and attraction for nature lovers.

Suvigya (surprised) (How did you come to know about it?
Dev: My uncle is the manager in Madhya Pradesh tourism department. Presently he is posted in Kanha Kisli. He invited all of us to see it. So recently I visited Kanha Kisli with my parents.
Suvigya: What did you see there?
Dev: I went to the Bagheera wood hut in Kisli where my uncle lives. Kisli has dangerous animals and dense forests. Tourists go there and enjoy seeing the natural scenery, wildlife, wild animals and birds.

Suvigya: What animals did you see there?
God: Oh! The most attractive of Kanha National Park. The animal is a tiger. Luckily I saw tigers. People ride on elephants to see tigers. It is really thrilling to see tigers sitting or lying in dense bushes and enclosures. I saw a tiger drinking water from a small river nearby. We saw a deer with his two children. His eyes were shining like marbles.

Suvigya: Don't tigers attack tourists?
Dev: Usually not. People enter the forest peacefully. People and children are also instructed to remain silent inside the forest. We also have to maintain some distance.

Suvigya: Aren't there some other animals?
Dev: Yes, there are other animals too. We saw black deer, chital, sambar, deer, spotted deer, gaur (Indian wild bull), horned deer and reindeer. It is the refuge of twenty mammals. Small palm squirrels, monkeys (langurs), monkeys, jackals, wild boars, wild dogs, chausingha (four-horned deer), hyenas and wild cats are in abundance here.

Expert: Oh! This means that it is a beautiful place to visit.
Dev: It's really worth seeing. Bird lovers also enjoy this place. There are 200 species of birds in Kanha. Birds living in water are seen near the ponds. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times for bird watching. Common birds, hawks, hawks, vultures, pigeons, flies: Catchers, woodpeckers are also found in abundance.

Suvigya: Thank you God. You have told me about a beautiful and exciting place. In the next summer vacations I will plan to visit Kanha with my parents.
Dev: But try to reach Kisli before sunset, because after sunset the entry of vehicles into the park is prohibited. (The children were called for dinner and the conversation ended.)

देव : सुविज्ञ, क्या तुमने कान्हा किसली देखा है ?
सुविज्ञ : वह क्या है ?
देव : ओह ! क्या तुम्हें इसके बारे में कुछ नहीं मालूम है ?
यह एक बहुत सुन्दर राष्ट्रीय उद्यान है।

सुविज्ञ : यह कहाँ स्थित है ?
देव : यह मध्य प्रदेश के मण्डला जिले में जबलपुर के निकट बालाघाट से 83 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है।
सुविज्ञ : हम वहाँ कैसे पहुँच सकते हैं ?
देव : हम वहाँ बस से पहुँच सकते हैं। हम वहाँ रेल द्वारा और हवाई जहाज द्वारा भी पहुँच सकते हैं।  सबसे निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन और हवाई अड्डा जबलपुर है।

सुविज्ञ : देव मुझे कान्हा के विषय में और ज्यादा बताओ।
देव : कान्हा नेशनल पार्क 1955 में अस्तित्व में आया। तभी से इसके पेड़ – पौधों और जन्तु समूह के कारण इसे संरक्षित किया गया है। वन्य जीव-जन्तुओं की ढेरों प्रजातियाँ यहाँ पाई जाती हैं। यह एशिया के सबसे अधिक सुन्दर व संचालित राष्ट्रीय उद्यानों में से एक है। यह उपयुक्त मौसम में हजारों जंगल प्रेमियों और पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करता है। यह प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए प्रेरणा और आकर्षण का एक स्रोत भी है।

सुविज्ञ (आश्चर्य से) (तुम्हें इसके बारे में कैसे पता चला ?
देव : मेरे चाचा मध्य प्रदेश पर्यटन विभाग में प्रबन्धक हैं। वर्तमान में वे कान्हा किसली में पदस्थ हैं। उन्होंने हम सबको इसे देखने के लिए आमन्त्रित किया। इसलिए हाल ही में मैंने अपने माता-पिता के साथ कान्हा किसली का भ्रमण किया।
सुविज्ञ : तुमने वहाँ क्या देखा ?
देव : मैं बघीरा काष्ठ कुटीर किसली गया जहाँ मेरे चाचाजी रहते हैं। किसली में खतरनाक जानवर और घने जंगल हैं। पर्यटक वहाँ जाते हैं और प्राकृतिक दृश्य, वन्य-जीवन, जंगली जानवर एवं पक्षियों को देखकर आनन्द प्राप्त करते हैं।

सुविज्ञ : तुमने वहाँ कौन-से जानवर देखे ?
देव : ओह ! कान्हा नेशनल पार्क का सबसे अधिक आकर्षक। प्राणी बाघ है। सौभाग्यवश मुझे बाघ दिखाई दे गये। लोग बाघों को देखने के लिए हाथियों पर चढ़कर जाते हैं। बाघों को घनी झाड़ियों और बाड़ों में बैठे हुए या लेटे हुए देखना वास्तव में रोमांच है। मैंने पास की छोटी नदी से एक बाघ को पानी पीते हुए देखा। हमें एक बाधिन अपने दो बच्चों के साथ दिखाई दी। उसकी आँखें कंचे जैसी चमक रही थीं।

सुविज्ञ : क्या बाघ पर्यटकों पर आक्रमण नहीं करते हैं?
देव : आमतौर पर नहीं। लोग जंगल में शान्तिपूर्वक प्रवेश करते हैं। लोगों और बच्चों को भी जंगल के भीतर चुप रहने के निर्देश दिए जाते हैं। हमें कुछ दूरी भी बनाये रखनी पड़ती है।

सुविज्ञ : क्या वहाँ कुछ अन्य जानवर नहीं हैं ?
देव : हाँ, वहाँ अन्य जानवर भी हैं। हमने काले हिरण, चीतल, सांभर, हिरन, चित्तीदार हिरन, गौर (भारतीय जंगली साँड), सींगदार हिरन और बारहसिंगे देखे। यह बीस स्तनधारियों की शरणस्थली है। यहाँ ताड़ पर रहने वाली छोटी गिलहरियाँ, बंदर (लंगूर), बंदर, गीदड़, जंगली सूअर, जंगली कुत्ते, चौसिंगा (चार सींग वाले हिरन), लकड़बग्घे और जंगली बिल्लियाँ बहुतायत में हैं।

सुविज्ञ : ओह ! इसका अर्थ है कि वह एक सुन्दर देखने योग्य जगह है।
देव : यह वास्तव में दर्शनीय है। पक्षी-प्रेमी भी इस स्थल का आनन्द लेते हैं। कान्हा में पक्षियों की 200 प्रजातियाँ हैं। पानी में रहने वाले पक्षी तालाबों के निकट दिखाई देते हैं। जल्दी सुबह और दोपहर देर का समय पक्षियों को देखने के लिये सबसे उत्तम समय है। साधारण पक्षी, फाख्ता, बाज, गिद्ध, कबूतर, मक्खी : पकड़ने वाले पक्षी, कठफोड़वा भी बहुतायत में पाये जाते हैं।

सुविज्ञ : धन्यवाद देव। तुमने मुझे एक सुन्दर और रोमांचक स्थान के बारे में बताया है। अगले ग्रीष्मकालीन अवकाशों में मैं अपने माता-पिता के साथ कान्हा भ्रमण करने की योजना बनाऊँगा।
देव : लेकिन सूर्यास्त से पहले किसली पहुँचने का प्रयत्न करना, क्योंकि सूर्यास्त के बाद पार्क में वाहनों का प्रवेश प्रतिबन्धित है। (बच्चों को रात्रि – भोजन के लिए बुला लिया गया था और वार्तालाप समाप्त हो गया।)
