'My Mother' is an excerpt from the autobiography of Nirad C, Chowdhary, here he emphasizes on his mother's distinctive trait and conviction which is unlike that of average Indian mothers. He is in no way suitable for his father, being the complete opposite of appearance, temperament and attitude. On one hand the mother is light and delicate and on the other hand the father is strong. Similarly, the mother's face is as sensitive as her father's emotionless, always fiery and lofty. Her face appears to be thoughtful which she is not at all.
