Dad and the Cat and the Tree is a comedy poem by Kit Wright. This is a poem about a strange incident in which the poet's cat got stuck in the tree and his father decided to bring him down but he also got stuck on the tree.

Kit Wright says that a cat got stuck in the tree and his father decided to save him. The poet's mother warned him when he was going to bring the cat down but he was overconfident that she ignored his warnings.

The poet says that his father had to undergo a severe test to save the cat. He fell in the garden for the first time as soon as the ladder slipped. The second time he tried to climb the tree but the branch broke and he fell to the ground. Finally he climbed the wall of the garden and jumped on the tree. But unfortunately he fell straight on the cat. The cat screamed but jumped down safely. Papa got stuck on the tree instead of the cat!

डैड एंड द कैट एंड द ट्री 'किट राइट' द्वारा रचित एक हास्य कविता है। यह एक अजीब घटना के बारे में कविता है जिसमें कवि की बिल्ली पेड़ में फंस गई और उसके पिता ने उसे नीचे लाने का फैसला किया लेकिन वह भी पेड़ पर फंस गया।

किट राइट का कहना है कि एक बिल्ली पेड़ में फंस गई थी और उसके पिता ने उसे बचाने का फैसला किया। जब वह बिल्ली को नीचे लाने जा रहा था तो कवि की माँ ने उसे चेतावनी दी लेकिन वह अति आत्मविश्वास में था कि उसने उसकी चेतावनियों को नजरअंदाज कर दिया।

कवि कहता है कि बिल्ली को बचाने के लिए उसके पिता को कड़ी परीक्षा देनी पड़ी। सीढ़ी फिसलते ही वह पहली बार बगीचे में गिरा। दूसरी बार उसने पेड़ पर चढ़ने की कोशिश की लेकिन शाखा टूट गई और वह जमीन पर गिर गया। अंत में वह बगीचे की दीवार पर चढ़ गया और पेड़ पर कूद गया। लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से वह सीधे बिल्ली पर जा गिरा। बिल्ली चिल्लाई लेकिन सुरक्षित रूप से नीचे कूद गई। बिल्ली की जगह पेड़ पर फँस गए पापा!
