She asks them to observe the surroundings, but it only adds to their curiosity. The aunt decides to tell the children a story to keep them quiet for a while. She brings a traditional, moral story that fails to capture the children's interest and creates even greater dissatisfaction. As he listened to the story, an unknown person decided to point out the flaws in it. The aunt confesses to the crime and challenges him to tell a good story.

Man discovers a story that begins as before. He tells the boys about a girl named Bertha who is so 'terrible good' that she even has three medals for it. One day Prince Bertha sees how good she is and decides to reward her. Bertha is allowed to roam the princes' gardens, where no children are generally allowed. She enjoys walking until she sees a wolf. Bertha hides behind a myrtle bush and almost manages to escape, but her medals click on each other and the wolf eats her at once.

The kids love the story, even though at first they thought it was scary, because it started out like their aunt's story. He appreciates the reality of the story, which is lacking in his aunt's story. The aunts, however, find it 'most inappropriate' to tell this story to young children. The man shows that, unlike her, he was able to keep the children quiet for at least ten minutes.
