സുഹൃത്തുക്കളോടൊപ്പം എസ്‌.കെ. പൊറ്റ ക്കാട്‌
ഹിമാലയന്‍ പ്രാന്തങ്ങളില്‍ പര്യടനം
നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി. കേദാരനാഥം, ബ ം
മുതലായ പുണ്യസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്കാ। ന്നു യാത്ര.

പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു. ബദരിയിലെത്തിയാൽ എല്ലാ
സകര്യ ങ്ങളും ചെയ്തുതരാന്‍ ഒരു മിലിറ്ററ്‌
ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നാണ്‌ മാര്‍വാഡ്‌
ക്യാമ്പിലെ ബോര്‍ഡര്‍ റോഡ്‌ മേലാധികാരികൾ
പറഞ്ഞിരു ന്നത്‌. എന്നാൽ അവിടെ ആരും തന്നെ
ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല ര.
അവര്‍ അവിടത്തെ കാഴ്ചകൾ കണ്ടു നിന്നു.

ഗയഡപാദാഷാര്യര്‍ ചെന്നിരിക്കാറുണ്ടായിരുന്ന
ശിലാസനവു൦ അവിടെ കാണാം.
ഗരഡപാദന്റെ മാണ്ഡൂക്യ കാരികയ്ക്ക്‌
ശ്രീശങ്കരാചാര്യര്‍ ഭാഷ്യമെഴുതിയതും
അവിടെവച്ചാണ്‌. ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെ ഓര്‍ത്തു ;

രനായിരുന്നു അയാള്‍. അയാൾ ആകെ
ക്ഷീണിതനായിരുന്നു. മുറി യുടെ വാതിൽ തുറന്ന്‌

പുല്ലുപോലും പൊടിക്കാത്ത തണുത്തു മരവിച്ച
ശൂന്യതയാണ്‌. പോസ്റ്റിന്റെ സ്ഥലപരിശോധന
കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ നേരം വളരെ വൈകി യതിനാൽ
