On 28 September 2009, Kurnool district witnessed a cry for dead bodies of cattle and people, damaged houses, broken dams, help, rescue and relief teams. Helicopters, inflatable boats, fiberglass boats and other equipment were used. Voluntary organizations, institutions, individuals and philanthropists joined the relief work. Camps were organized for the homeless. Food, water, blankets, milk and medicines were distributed among the victims. A Ms Rajeshwari 40 displayed rare courage in saving herself and her four children. He expressed his gratitude to all those who helped him during his intense agony.
