All of his younger siblings flew fearlessly despite the very short wings, while he could not muster the courage to trust his own wings. Young Seagull was saddened to see his parents perfecting his younger siblings in the art of flying. His parents scold and tease him for not trying. They even call him a ‘coward’. They tell him a lot to at least try, and threaten to leave him alone and hungry if he does not. The next day, he is left alone and feels hungry; He tries to get the attention of his family members. Only his mother, who is obsessed with trying to eat fish, watches over her son. The young sponge cries out in hunger, hoping his mother will help him.
