'Teen Pratigya' is the first scene of 'Mahatma Gandhi's short play'. This is again the first part of his larger novel, 'and so he plays his part.'

In this quote Mahatma Gandhi is portrayed as a saint politician. He was described as an instant human of the earth, but his head was raised to the boundless sky. This lesson also throws light on the importance of following a routine to ensure discipline in life. It emphasizes on living a simple, honest, non-violent and peaceful life. The 'Sabarmati Ashram' in Ahmedabad is like a pilgrimage, as it is the center of the freedom struggle. The rays of non-violent movement have illuminated the entire country.

There are small rooms at both ends of the verandah. Behind the porch in a large living room, a white woman is writing some paper and a man is writing a letter. This is the scene of the ashram when Gandhiji was organizing a struggle for liberation from the Sabarmati Ashram.

Mahatma Gandhi is resting on a comfortable chair and his wife Kasturba Gandhi is plastering his stomach with thin clay. There are books, pen and paper on the table on the right. Mahatma Gandhi's secretary Mahadev Desai is standing beside him to remove the dictation from Gandhi. No KC Azad enters the hut of the ashram. He tells his name as Krishna Chander Azad and explains the significance of his name. Krishna for Lord Krishna (Love God), Chander and Azad for Moon because he wants to be independent and work for India's independence. Gandhi conveyed the message of his Gita to contract the senses of man. He further advises her to leave the English dress and wear kurta pyjama.” Azad intends to stay at the ashram and train himself there. Gandhi agrees to some of these conditions.
(i) A woman should not be looked at with lust. (ii) He should not drink alcohol. (iii) He should clean the toilets once a week. Azad agrees to his terms.

He was offered kurta and pyjama, Azad was told about the routine of the ashram,
(i) Morning walk at 5 am. (ii) Prayers at 6.15 am. (iii) Milk or tea at 7.30 am. (iv) Work till 12 noon. (v) Lunch at 12.30 pm. (vi) 1.30 PM to 3.00 PM. (vii) Evening prayer at 6.30 pm. (viii) Meal at 7.30 pm. (ix) Light off at 10 pm.
- Bath, Kitchen etc. conveniently in your own time.
Thus, life in the ashram was regular and orderly. Everyone was bound to follow it strictly. There the model code of conduct was followed. Truly Sabarmati is 'heaven' on earth.

महात्मा गांधी आराम की कुर्सी पर आराम कर रहे हैं और उनकी पत्नी कस्तूरबा गांधी पतली मिट्टी से उनके पेट पर प्लास्टर कर रही हैं। दायीं ओर की मेज पर किताबें, कलम और कागज हैं। गांधी से डिक्टेशन हटाने के लिए महात्मा गांधी के सचिव महादेव देसाई उनके पास खड़े हैं। कोई के.सी. आजाद आश्रम की कुटिया में प्रवेश करता है। वह अपना नाम कृष्ण चंदर आजाद बताता है और अपने नाम का महत्व बताता है। भगवान कृष्ण के लिए कृष्ण (भगवान से प्यार करें), चंद्रमा के लिए चंदर और आजाद क्योंकि वह स्वतंत्र होना चाहते हैं और भारत की आजादी के लिए काम करते हैं। गांधी ने अपने गीता के संदेश को मनुष्य की इंद्रियों को अनुबंधित करने के लिए बताया। वह आगे उसे अंग्रेजी पोशाक छोड़ने और कुर्ता पायजामा पहनने की सलाह देता है ”आज़ाद का इरादा आश्रम में रहने और खुद को वहाँ प्रशिक्षित करने का है। गांधी इनमें से कुछ शर्तों से सहमत हैं।
(i) स्त्री को वासना की दृष्टि से नहीं देखना चाहिए। (ii) उसे शराब नहीं पीनी चाहिए। (iii) उसे सप्ताह में एक बार शौचालयों की सफाई करनी चाहिए। आजाद उसकी शर्तों से सहमत हैं।

उन्हें कुर्ता और पायजामा चढ़ाया गया, आजाद को आश्रम की दिनचर्या के बारे में बताया गया,
(i) सुबह 5 बजे सुबह की सैर। (ii) प्रार्थना सुबह 6.15 बजे। (iii) सुबह 7.30 बजे दूध या चाय। (iv) दोपहर 12 बजे तक काम करें। (v) दोपहर 12.30 बजे मध्याह्न भोजन। (vi) शाम 1.30 बजे से दोपहर 3.00 बजे तक। (vii) शाम 6.30 बजे शाम की प्रार्थना। (viii) शाम 7.30 बजे भोजन। (ix) रात 10 बजे लाइट बंद।
- स्नान, रसोई आदि अपने समय में सुविधापूर्वक।
इस प्रकार, आश्रम में जीवन नियमित और व्यवस्थित था। हर कोई इसका सख्ती से पालन करने के लिए बाध्य था। वहां आदर्श आचार संहिता का पालन किया गया। सच में साबरमती धरती पर 'स्वर्ग' है।
