A farmer lived in a village. Once he went to dig potatoes in his field. Suddenly, he heard a potato saying that he didn't water or care for her. Aloo told him to go away and leave him alone. Then his dog told him that the potato was right because he was lazy. The farmer got scared after listening to the potato and the dog. He went to cut a vine to support the dog. Then the vine told him to hang it again on the tree. Then he said to the rock on which he had cast the vine, to take the vine away from him.

The frightened farmer ran and told all this to a fisherman. He didn't believe it. Then the net told the fisherman that the farmer was right.

Now the fisherman was also scared. He ran with the farmer and reached a tailor and both of them told him that he was ghostly. The tailor denied his story. Then the tailor's shirt said that he was right.

Now all three of them went and told the whole thing to the chief. The chief got angry and shouted at him to go back to his work. Then the chair on which the chief was sitting said to him, "Imagine that a potato speaks!" Now the chief was also scared.

एक गाँव में एक किसान रहता था। एक बार वह अपने खेत में आलू खोदने गया। अचानक, उसने एक आलू को यह कहते हुए सुना कि उसने उसके लिए पानी नहीं डाला या उसकी परवाह नहीं की। आलू ने उससे कहा कि चले जाओ और उसे अकेला छोड़ दो। तब उसके कुत्ते ने उससे कहा कि आलू सही था क्योंकि वह आलसी था। आलू और कुत्ते की बात सुनकर किसान डर गया। वह कुत्ते को टिकाने के लिए एक बेल काटने गया। तब दाखलता ने उससे कहा कि उसे फिर से पेड़ पर लटका दो। तब जिस चट्टान पर उसने ज्या डाली थी, उस ने उस से कहा, कि दाखलता उस से दूर कर दे।

भयभीत किसान ने दौड़कर एक मछुआरे को यह सब बताया। उसने विश्वास नहीं किया। फिर जाल ने मछुआरे से कहा कि किसान सही कह रहा है।

अब मछुआरा भी डर गया। वह किसान के साथ दौड़ा और एक दर्जी के पास पहुंचा और उन दोनों ने उन्हें भूतिया होने की बात बताई। दर्जी ने उनकी कहानी का खंडन किया। तभी दर्जी की कमीज ने कहा कि वह ठीक कह रहा था।

अब उन तीनों ने जाकर मुखिया को सारी बात बताई। मुखिया क्रोधित हो गए और उन्हें अपने काम पर वापस जाने के लिए चिल्लाया। तभी मुखिया जिस कुर्सी पर बैठे थे, उसने उससे कहा, "कल्पना कीजिए कि एक आलू बोलता है!" अब मुखिया भी डर गए।
