यह कविता कवि की चन्द्रमा की यात्रा की कल्पना थी। लेखक अपनी परीक्षा देने वाला एक छात्र था। वह पहले ही चार विषयों की परीक्षा दे चुका था। अब उसे अगले दिन होने वाली विज्ञान की परीक्षा के लिए पढ़ना और लिखना है।

लेखक अपने घर में अकेला बैठा था। वह चूहे की संरचना का अध्ययन कर रहा था। अचानक बत्तियां बुझ गईं। तभी उसने जोर से फटने की आवाज सुनी। उसे लगा कि बाहर कोई है। सो वह डर के मारे बाहर चला गया। वहां उन्होंने एक बड़ा रॉकेट देखा। रॉकेट के अंदर एक अंतरिक्ष यात्री था। उन्होंने लेखक को चंद्रमा की उड़ान पर आमंत्रित किया। लेखक ने सहज ही हामी भर दी। वह अंदर गया और उसके बगल में बैठ गया।

लेखक अंतरिक्ष यात्री के साथ दोपहर तक चाँद पर पहुँच गया। लेकिन वे चंद्रमा की जमीन पर चल नहीं पाए क्योंकि चंद्रमा का गुरुत्वाकर्षण बल चंद्रमा की तुलना में बहुत कम है। इसलिए वे इधर-उधर कूद पड़े। लेखक के लिए यह बहुत मजेदार था। लेखक ने अंतरिक्ष यात्री के साथ अपनी वापसी यात्रा शुरू की।

लेखक डूबते सूरज से पहले घर पहुंच गया। अपने आश्चर्य और अपने माता-पिता के आश्चर्य के लिए, लेखक ने अपने विज्ञान की परीक्षा में बहुत अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया। लेकिन यह रहस्य किसी को नहीं पता था कि उनका साइंस का टेस्ट कितना अच्छा गया था। रहस्य अभी भी लेखक के अंदर बसा हुआ था।
