Once a foolish king was dying. He said that he was at death's door. But the real fact, what he felt was suffering from having nothing to do. This was the reason why he was getting bored to death. He felt pain in every muscle and bone of his body. Doctors and surgeons used to come from far and wide. They examined it thoroughly but found nothing wrong.

The king thought he was a fool and sent for ordinary doctors. Ordinary doctors came and examined his body thoroughly. But even ordinary doctors did not find anything wrong. The king called him a fool. Still he sent other doctors. He also said the same thing which the earlier doctors had told earlier.

Finally, a simple old lady was brought into the royal bedroom. He looked at the king's face for a long time and told him that he was suffering from a strange and rare disease. To avoid this disease, he needed sleep but one night in the shirt of a happy man.

Thus the old lady advised him on her advice, the king immediately sent his captains, bravest soldiers, best couriers and messengers throughout the kingdom. They tried to locate a happy man's shirt, but they could not; when all the king's men did not find the happy man's shirt, he sent a long report to the king. This is how the report was read.
1. The people of the East were not happy because he (the king) imposed heavy taxes on them.
2. The people of the West were not happy, as they had to work hard for a long time. So he had little time to enjoy singing and dancing.
3. The people of the north were not happy because at least, they had not seen the king and felt that he was interested in them.
4. The people of the South were not happy as they did not notice their industry and loyalty and did not reward them for it.

Thus the news came to the king and he read them carefully, but the messengers did not return to the king. One day an angel saw a still boy who was singing happily. He asked the boy why he sang the song with so much fun.

He replied that he loved his partner and had little ownership but wanted less, so he was a happy man and loved to sing. The messenger said that there he found a happy man. He told the boy that the king was ill and needed to sleep one night in a happy man's shirt.

He ordered her to give him his shirt, but instead of giving his coat, the boy ran towards the palace and went straight to the royal bedroom. The king asked him what work he had to come to him. The boy told him that the cure for his illness was right, therefore, all the time, right in the palace grounds.

He said he loved his partner, owned but had less and wanted less, but he didn't have a shirt. Hearing the boy's words, the king bowed his head in shame. He agreed that the cure was here and that he could cure his folly. He decided to be a good king then and there, to rule wisely and well. He never considered himself ill. He got too busy for such stupidity. So he lived to old age.

एक बार एक मूर्ख राजा मर रहा था। उसने कहा कि वह मौत के दरवाजे पर था। लेकिन वास्तविक तथ्य, जो उन्होंने महसूस किया कि उनके पास करने के लिए कुछ नहीं होने से पीड़ित था। यही कारण था कि वह मौत से ऊब रहा था। उन्हें हर पेशी और शरीर की हड्डियों में दर्द हुआ। दूर-दूर से चिकित्सक और सर्जन आते थे। उन्होंने उसकी अच्छी तरह से जांच की लेकिन उन्हें कुछ भी गलत नहीं मिला।

राजा ने सोचा कि वे मूर्ख व्यक्ति हैं और उन्होंने साधारण डॉक्टरों के लिए भेजा। साधारण डॉक्टर आए और उन्होंने उसके शरीर की अच्छी तरह से जाँच की। लेकिन आम डॉक्टरों को भी कुछ गलत नहीं लगा। राजा ने उन्हें मूर्ख कहा। फिर भी उसने अन्य डॉक्टरों को भेजा। उन्होंने भी वही कहा, जो पहले के डॉक्टरों ने पहले बताया था।

अंत में, एक साधारण बूढ़ी औरत को शाही शयनकक्ष में लाया गया। उसने बहुत देर तक राजा के चेहरे को देखा और उसे बताया कि वह एक अजीब और दुर्लभ बीमारी से पीड़ित है। इस बीमारी से बचने के लिए उसे नींद की जरूरत थी लेकिन एक रात सुखी आदमी की कमीज में।

इस प्रकार बुढ़िया ने उसे उसकी सलाह पर सलाह दी, राजा ने तुरंत अपने कप्तानों, सबसे बहादुर सैनिकों, सबसे अच्छे कूरियर और दूतों को पूरे राज्य में भेजा। उन्होंने एक खुश आदमी की कमीज का पता लगाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन वे नहीं कर सके जब राजा के सभी पुरुषों को खुश आदमी की कमीज नहीं मिली, तो उन्होंने राजा को लंबी रिपोर्ट भेजी। इस तरह रिपोर्ट पढ़ी गई।
1. पूर्व के लोग खुश नहीं थे क्योंकि उसने (राजा ने) उन पर भारी कर लगाया था।
2. पश्चिम के लोग खुश नहीं थे, क्योंकि उन्हें लंबे समय तक कड़ी मेहनत करनी पड़ती थी। इसलिए उनके पास गायन और नृत्य का आनंद लेने के लिए थोड़ा समय नहीं था।
3. उत्तर के लोग खुश नहीं थे क्योंकि कम से कम, उन्होंने राजा को नहीं देखा था और महसूस किया था कि वह उनमें रुचि रखता है।
4. दक्षिण के लोग खुश नहीं थे क्योंकि उन्होंने उनके उद्योग और वफादारी पर ध्यान नहीं दिया था और उन्हें इसके लिए पुरस्कृत नहीं किया था।

इस प्रकार राजा के पास समाचार आया और उसने उन्हें ध्यान से पढ़ा, परन्तु दूत राजा के पास नहीं लौटे। एक दिन एक दूत ने एक स्थिर लड़के को देखा जो खुशी से गा रहा था। उसने लड़के से पूछा कि उसने इतनी मस्ती से गाना क्यों गाया।

उसने उत्तर दिया कि वह अपने साथी से प्यार करता है और उसके पास थोड़ा स्वामित्व है लेकिन वह कम चाहता है, इसलिए वह एक खुश व्यक्ति था और उसे गाना पसंद था। दूत ने कहा कि वहाँ उसे खुश आदमी मिला। उसने लड़के से कहा कि राजा बीमार है और उसे एक रात एक सुखी आदमी की कमीज में सोने की जरूरत है।

उसने उसे अपनी कमीज़ देने का आदेश दिया, लेकिन लड़का अपना कोट देने के बजाय महल की ओर भाग गया और सीधे शाही शयनकक्ष में चला गया। राजा ने उससे पूछा कि उसके पास आने के लिए कौन सा काम है। लड़के ने उससे कहा कि उसकी बीमारी का इलाज सही था, इसलिए, हर समय, ठीक महल के मैदान में।

उसने कहा कि वह अपने साथी से प्यार करता है, स्वामित्व में है लेकिन कम है और कम चाहता है, लेकिन उसके पास शर्ट नहीं थी। लड़के की बात सुनकर राजा ने लज्जित होकर सिर झुका लिया। वह सहमत था कि इलाज यहाँ था और वह अपनी मूर्खता को ठीक कर सकता था। उसने तब और वहाँ एक अच्छा राजा बनने का फैसला किया, बुद्धिमानी और अच्छी तरह से शासन करने के लिए। उन्होंने कभी खुद को बीमार नहीं माना। वह इस तरह की मूर्खता के लिए बहुत व्यस्त हो गया। इसलिए वह वृद्धावस्था में जीवित रहा।
