Part I
The story is about two friends who had to decide what was more important - friendship and enmity or what is right and what is wrong. Jumman Sheikh and Algu Choudhary share a very strong bond of friendship. They looked after each other's families when they were away from each other.

Jumman had an old aunt who transferred her property to Jumman on the condition that she would be looked after as long as she lived. However, within a few years, both Jumman and his wife became indifferent to their aunt. When Jumman's aunt got tired of the humiliation, she asked Jumman to give her a monthly allowance for setting up a separate kitchen. On Jumman's refusal, she went to the panchayat to plead for justice.

Part II
In the panchayat, he nominated Algu who was Jumman's best friend, to be the chief panch. He believed that Algu would be truthful and fair in his decision. After cross-examining Jumman and his aunt, Algu comes to the conclusion that Jumman's aunt should be given a monthly allowance or her property should be returned to her. This decision upset Jumman so much that he made Algu his enemy and started looking for an opportunity to take revenge.

Part III
One of Algu's good oxen died and he sold the other to Samjhu Sahu, a cart driver in the village. Sahu had to pay the price of the bull to Algu within a month. However, within a month, the bull sold was dead. When Sahu refused to pay Algu as promised, Algu took the matter to the panchayat.

Sahu named Jumman as the head panch thinking that he was Algu's enemy and would definitely decide in Sahu's favor. After Jumman was made the head panch, he realized the responsibility that comes with power. After hearing both the sides in the case Jumman gave the verdict in favor of Algu.

The decision made Algu very happy and he insisted that the Lord lived in Pancha's voice. Algu and Jumman's friendship is restored and as they hugged each other, their tears clear the misunderstanding between them.

भाग III
अलगू के अच्छे बैलों में से एक की मृत्यु हो गई और उसने दूसरे को गाँव के एक गाड़ी चालक, समझू साहू को बेच दिया। साहू को एक महीने के भीतर अलगू को बैल की कीमत चुकानी थी। हालांकि, एक महीने के भीतर, बेचा गया बैल मर गया। जब साहू ने वादे के अनुसार अलगू को भुगतान करने से इनकार कर दिया, तो अलगू मामले को पंचायत में ले गया।

साहू ने जुम्मन को प्रधान पंच के रूप में यह सोचकर नामित किया कि वह अलगू का दुश्मन है और निश्चित रूप से साहू के पक्ष में फैसला देगा जुम्मन को प्रधान पंच बनाए जाने के बाद, उसे सत्ता के साथ आने वाली जिम्मेदारी का एहसास हुआ। मामले में दोनों पक्षों को सुनने के बाद जुम्मन ने अलगू के पक्ष में फैसला सुनाया।
