Echo and Narcissus Summary in English

Here we have uploaded the Echo and Narcissus Summary in English for students. This will help students to learn quickly in English and English language.

1. Narcissus was a handsome young man. He was so beautiful that anyone who saw him would fall in love with him.
2. One day when Narcissus was walking in the woods with his hunting companions, he felt that someone was watching his movements. The alert girl was none other than the echo. Echo was known for her chattering ability. She could keep anyone busy for hours and talk on any topic. He had kept Goddess Shravan busy in casual talk. In the course of making love, Hera was to the point of stumbling upon Zeus. This unwanted interruption from the echo made Hera very angry and cursed him. From that day onwards echo could not say anything and was only able to repeat the last few words, she heard.
3. Echo, a trembling voice follows Narcissus through the trees. She wanted to get closer to Narcissus to see her beauty, but she was afraid that he would make fun of her trembling speech.
4. Suddenly one day Narcissus lost his way in the woods and was separated from his companions. He panicked and said nervously - "Is there anyone here?" The echoing sound "there" was repeated.
Narcissus shouted back - "Come!" echoed again "Come!"
5. Knowing that someone was cheating on him, he called - "Why are you avoiding me!" His answers were again repeated from the forest. Narcissus invites Echo to visit her and she responds positively. Echo came out of her hiding place but Narcissus pushed her hard and ran away saying that I will die before I keep you near me.
6. The Apsara was so embarrassed that she hid herself in a dark cave and never came out in the light. Her beauty and youth disappeared and her body shrank. There was nothing left from his body except a pitiful voice. This voice is still making a splash all over the world. Eager to talk but was able to repeat what others said or should do and that is Echo.
7. Narcissus one day had to pay the price for his rudeness because he had played with the feelings of so many girls, one of them prayed to the gods that Narcissus should pay the price for his actions and one day he was despised by one Will be loved the most.
8. What happened one day that Narcissus felt very thirsty while going out on a hunt. He came down to a pool in which the water was crystal clear and still. As he bent down to drink the water, he saw the reflection of a beautiful face in the still water of the pond. His heart trembled upon seeing the image in the pool that he did not lift his eyes but only murmured words of love from time to time.
9. At last his body withered. It turned into a flower stem. A golden colored flower head with white flowers appeared on the stem. This flower named Narcissus is still visible in many locks today.
So this is the story of Echo which can be heard but cannot be seen. It contained only speech without a physical body.
10. This is a beautiful story taken from Greek Mythology [mythology] which depicts the sound of echo that vibrates in the forest of the forest, hill and other places.
