So in this poem the poet is expressing his feeling of sorrow for a woman lying in a grave. The poet visits the tomb that was built in the memory of the woman. He weeps bitterly and wonders who will remember him after his death. The poet believes that man is mortal and the soul is immortal. The poet says that the body falls into pieces but the soul replaces another new body to live. The poet says that whoever comes to earth must die. But his fame remains permanently in this universe.

दरअसल कवि उस महिला से बहुत प्यार करता था। वह बड़ी रूपवती थी। एक दिन वह महिला मर गई और अंत में उसे कब्र में दफना दिया गया। तो इस कविता में कवि एक कब्र में पड़ी एक महिला के लिए अपनी दुख की भावना व्यक्त कर रहा है। कवि उस मकबरे में जाता है जो उस महिला की याद में बनाया गया था। वह फूट-फूट कर रोता है और सोचता है कि उसकी मृत्यु के बाद उसे कौन याद करेगा। कवि का मत है कि मनुष्य नश्वर है और आत्मा अमर है। कवि कहता है कि शरीर टुकड़ों में गिर जाता है लेकिन आत्मा दूसरे नए शरीर को जीने के लिए बदल देती है। कवि कहता है कि जो कोई भी पृथ्वी पर आता है उसे अवश्य ही मरना चाहिए। लेकिन उनकी कीर्ति इस ब्रह्मांड में स्थायी रूप से बनी रहती है।
