उन्होंने अपनी सफल यात्रा के लिए भगवान को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने यह भी महसूस किया कि उन्होंने सबसे ऊंची चोटी पर चढ़ना पूरा कर लिया है और इस तरह आगे कोई और ऊंची चोटी नहीं बची है।

उन्होंने आनंद और कृतज्ञता की भावना में होने वाले परिवर्तनों के बारे में बात की। मेजर विचार में व्यस्त थे, हालांकि यह अतीत की बात थी। जब मेजर पहाड़ों पर चढ़ने के कारणों के बारे में सोच रहा था तो उसके कारण सामने आए।

उन्होंने अनुभव को इसकी सुंदरता, अलगाव, पराक्रम, कठोरता और कठिनाइयों के कारण 'रहस्यवादी' कहा। उन्होंने महसूस किया कि शिखर सम्मेलन का कारण खोजना मुश्किल है क्योंकि उनकी स्वाभाविक इच्छा थी।

On reaching the summit. Major Ahluwalia felt very excited. The first thing that came to his mind was 'humility'. He felt his victory when he saw the vast surroundings and the view from above.

He thanked God for his successful journey. He also realized that he had finished climbing the highest peak and thus there was no other high peak left.

He talked about the changes in the feeling of joy and gratitude. Major was busy with the idea, though it was a thing of the past. When the Major was thinking about the reasons for climbing the mountains, his reasons came to the fore.

One such reason is that he felt excited to 'overcome obstacles'. All that a climber must endure during the climb is endurance, perseverance and willpower.

The mountains fascinated Major since childhood. It is one of the finest creations of nature. He also believed that 'mountains are the means of oneness with God'. He could not bear the separation from the mountains.

He informed about the summit that one feels victorious and happy after successfully completing the hardships of the journey. After climbing the top of the majestic Everest, the whole effort turns into 'excitement'.

He called the experience 'mystic' because of its beauty, isolation, might, hardness and difficulties. He felt that finding the reason for the summit was difficult because he had a natural desire.

He realized that the ascent of Everest alerts one to 'one's own smallness in this vast universe'. One feels the fulfillment and satisfaction of physical, emotional and spiritual desires.

A typical climb shares ropes, becoming stronger with each move of the preceding climbers. He learns from past climbers, who share their experience to make it easier for others to follow and help them overcome obstacles with ease and preparation.

Sometimes a climber may feel deprived due to difficulties, however, he remembers himself and pushes his limits, and inspires other peers as well.

A climber's efforts pay off once he reaches the top. The serene beauty fascinates him. He explained that 'the surrounding peaks look like a gemstone necklace around the neck of your summit'.

Seeing the valleys can be a wonderful, enriching experience. Surrendering to His obedience one becomes fascinated by the creation of God. Various climbers left a relic, a cross orpecturo etc. 'not as a symbol of victory but as a mark of honour'.

Major Ahluwalia felt from within* He wanted everyone to 'climb their own mountain top to win over themselves. Then he will turn into a fearless, confident and determined person. He realized that one's inner self is an inner peak that one needs to climb in order to conquer oneself.
