फ्रांसिस स्टैनिस्लॉस 'फ्रैंक' फ्लिन का जन्म 1906 में सिडनी में हुआ था और 2000 में उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। पेशे से, वह एक ऑस्ट्रेलियाई डॉक्टर, लेखक और मिशनरी पुजारी थे।

कविता का उद्देश्य शिक्षार्थियों को 'शेड' और इसके महत्व के बारे में बताना है। भाषा की लय और समृद्धि प्रभावशाली है। कवि अपने बगीचे में एक शेड के बारे में बात करता है।

भयावह रूप उसे उसमें प्रवेश करने से रोकता है। जंग लगी और धूल भरी खिड़कियाँ, टूटे खिड़की के शीशे, हर आने-जाने में मकड़ी का जाला, भूतों की मौजूदगी की डरावनी कहानियों ने कवि को डरा दिया है। फिर भी वह आने वाले वर्षों में खुद से शेड का दौरा करने का वादा करता है।

कवि के घर के पास एक छप्पर था। जब वह इसके पास से गुजरता है तो उसे यह बताने में डर लगता है। दरवाजा लटकते हुए मकड़ी के जाले से ढका हुआ था। मौसम की मार के कारण दरवाजे के टिका जंग खा रहे थे।

दरवाजा बंद करते या खोलते समय इसने कर्कश आवाज की। कवि ने बिस्तर पर लेटे हुए आवाज सुनी। फिर भी कवि ने सब कुछ स्वयं देखने के लिए एक द्वार खोलने का निश्चय किया।

उन्होंने आगे बताया कि खिड़कियां धूल भरी थीं और खिड़कियों के शीशे टूट गए थे। कवि को एहसास हुआ कि जब भी वह शेड से गुजरता है तो कोई उसे घूरता है। उसने एक दिन गेट खोलने का फैसला किया।

उसके भाई ने उसे यह कहकर डराने की कोशिश की कि सड़े हुए फर्श बोर्डों के नीचे एक भूत छिपा है। वह कवि के सिर पर कूद पड़ता। फिर भी कवि ने अपने आत्मविश्वास को कम नहीं होने दिया।

कवि जानता था कि शेड में भूत नहीं होता। बल्कि उनके बड़े भाई ने शेड को अपनी मांद के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया। बच्चे को सच्चाई का एहसास हो गया ताकि वह अब अपने भाई के बहकावे में न आ सके। उसने एक दिन शेड का दौरा करने की हिम्मत की। वह अभी भी आने वाले सही समय का एहसास होने का इंतजार कर रहा था।

The purpose of the poem is to tell the learners about the 'shed' and its importance. The rhythm and richness of the language is impressive. The poet talks about a shed in his garden.

The frightening look prevents him from entering it. Rusty and dusty windows, broken window panes, spider webs in every passage, horror stories of the presence of ghosts have frightened the poet. Yet he promises to visit the shed himself in the years to come.

There was a shed near the poet's house. When he passes by it, he is afraid to tell it. The door was covered with a hanging spider web. The door hinges were rusting due to the weather.

It made a hoarse sound when closing or opening the door. The poet heard the voice while lying on the bed. Still the poet decided to open a door to see everything himself.

He further told that the windows were dusty and the windows of the windows were broken. The poet realized that whenever he passed by the shed someone stared at him. He decided to open the gate one day.

Her brother tries to scare her by saying that there is a ghost hiding under the rotten floor boards. He would jump on the poet's head. Still, the poet did not let his confidence go down.

The poet knew that there were no ghosts in the shed. Rather, his older brother used the shed as his den. The child realized the truth so that he could no longer be deceived by his brother. He dared to visit the shed one day. He was still waiting to realize the right time to come.
