After a few minutes of silence, the girl asked if she knew anyone around. He replied softly that he was new to the place and it was his sister who had been there about four years back. He also spoke in a sorry tone about the reference letter.

The girl tried to confirm if she really did not know the people around. Frampton looked around the room and thought of Mrs. Sapleton's position. The girl started making up a story about Mrs.

Sapleton that her husband and two brothers with the spaniel went hunting. They didn't return. Their bodies were not found. So he kept the French window open.

She often told her that her husband would enter with a waterproof coat on her arm and that her youngest brother Ronnie would tease her with 'Bertie, who do you bound?' Will sing
