इस कविता में, कबीर दास का मत है कि सभी लोग दुःख और दुःख में होने पर भगवान को याद करते हैं। दूसरी ओर सुख-समृद्धि में भगवान को कोई याद नहीं करता। लेकिन कवि कहता है कि अगर कोई याद करे। ईश्वर सुख में है, दुःख में कभी नहीं हो सकता। कवि का मत है कि जो मर गया है वह कभी शोक में नहीं है क्योंकि वह कब्र से रोने के लिए नहीं आता है, क्योंकि कब्र एक स्थायी घर है और वह वहां शांति से है।

कवि ने भगवान से भगवान की महिमा गाने के लिए प्रार्थना करने की सलाह दी। उनका कहना है कि जो सोता है उसे बहुत नुकसान होता है। उनका कहना है कि अगर गड़गड़ाहट की आवाज सुनाई देती है तो ब्रह्मा का फेंका भी कांपने लगता है। दूसरे शब्दों में जब समय आता है तो कोई भी सुरक्षित नहीं हो सकता।

कबीर ने पुरुषों को राम को स्वीकार करने की सलाह दी। राम ही एकमात्र सर्वशक्तिमान ईश्वर हैं। जो राम को छोड़ देता है वह बिना पिता का पुत्र है। यानी राम ही पिता हैं।

कबीर कहते हैं कि राम का नाम खजाना है। उसने लोगों से कहा कि इस खजाने को जितना लूटो उतना लूटो क्योंकि एक दिन मौत का देवता आएगा और आदमी हमेशा के लिए चले जाएंगे।

आखिरी में लेकिन एक श्लोक में कबीर ने गुरु के महत्व का वर्णन किया है गुरु और भगवान दोनों एक साथ खड़े हैं। कवि असमंजस में है कि वह किससे प्रार्थना करे। लेकिन गुरु की महानता ही है कि उन्होंने ईश्वर को संकेत दिया। कवि गुरु के प्रति बाध्य है और उससे प्रार्थना करता है क्योंकि भगवान ने उसे ऐसा करने के लिए कहा है।

कबीर कहते हैं कि अगर भगवान मदद नहीं करता है और वह नाराज है, तो मैं गुरु की शरण में जाऊंगा। लेकिन उन्हें इस बात का बहुत अफ़सोस है कि अगर गुरु नाराज़ हैं तो भगवान उनकी मदद नहीं करेंगे। इसका अर्थ है कि मनुष्य को अपने गुरु का सम्मान करना चाहिए। जब भगवान खुश होंगे तभी।

Kabir says that Ram's name is treasure. He told the people to loot this treasure as much as you can because one day the god of death will come and men will be gone forever.

In the last but one verse, Kabir has described the importance of the Guru, both the Guru and the Lord standing together. The poet is confused as to whom he should pray. But the greatness of the Guru is that he gave a signal to God. The poet is bound to the Guru and prays to him as the Lord has asked him to do so.

Kabir says if God doesn't help and he is angry, then I will take refuge of Guru. But he is very sorry that if the Guru is angry then God will not help him. It means that one should respect his Guru. Only when God is happy.
