மணிபுரம் கிராமத்தில் ஒரு பணக்கார விவசாயி வாழ்ந்து வந்தான். அவருக்கு மூன்று மகள்கள் இருந்தனர். அவரது மகள்கள் அனைவரும் திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டு மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வாழ்கிறார்கள். விவசாயிக்கு வயதாகிக் கொண்டிருந்தது. அவர் தனது செல்வத்தை தனது மகள்களுக்கு விநியோகிக்க விரும்பினார். ஆனால் தன் மகள்கள் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் என்ன பொறுப்பு கொடுக்க முடியும் என்பதை அறிய விரும்பினார். அவர் தனது மகள்கள் அனைவரையும் அழைத்து, ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் தினை மூட்டையைக் கொடுத்தார். தானியங்களை சிறந்த முறையில் பயன்படுத்துமாறும், ஒரு வருடம் கழித்து தன்னிடம் வருமாறும் அவர் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.

ஒரு வருடம் கழித்து, மகள்கள் தங்கள் தந்தையின் வீட்டிற்கு திரும்பினர். விவசாயி அனைவரையும் வரவேற்றார்.

முதலில், மூத்த மகளை அழைத்து, அவள் கொடுத்த தானியங்களை என்ன செய்தாள் என்று கேட்டான். அவள் பதிலளித்தாள், 'அப்பா, நான் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பும் வழியில் நான் பார்த்த பறவைக் கூட்டங்களுக்கு அந்த தானியங்களை ஊட்டினேன்.'

பின்னர் தந்தை இரண்டாவது மகளை அழைத்து அதையே கேட்டார். அவள் பதிலளித்தாள், 'அப்பா, அந்த தானியங்கள் புனிதமானவை என்று நான் நினைத்தேன். அதனால் நான் சமூக உணவு சேவைக்காக வைத்திருந்த மற்ற தானியங்களுடன் கலக்கினேன். அதனால் எல்லோரும் அதைப் பெற முடியும். அதன் பிறகு மூன்றாவது மகள் வந்தாள். விவசாயி அவளிடம் தானியங்களைப் பற்றிக் கேட்டார்.

அவள், “அப்பா, இப்போது என்னிடம் அந்த தானியங்கள் இல்லை. தானியங்களைப் பெற எனக்கு இரண்டு காளைகளும் ஆட்களும் தேவை” என்றார். தந்தை குழப்பமடைந்து, “தானியங்களைக் கொண்டு வர உங்களுக்கு ஏன் காளைகளும் ஆட்களும் தேவை?” என்று அவளிடம் கேட்டார். மகள் சிரித்துக்கொண்டே பதிலளித்தாள், “நான் அந்த தானியங்களை விதைத்தேன், இப்போது அது பயிராக வளர்ந்துள்ளது. எனவே, எனக்கு ஒரு மாட்டு வண்டி தேவை, ஆட்கள் அறுவடை செய்து தானியங்களைத் திரும்பக் கொண்டு வர வேண்டும். அவள் தானியங்களை புத்திசாலித்தனமாக பயன்படுத்துகிறாள் என்பதை அறிந்து தந்தை மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தார்.

A rich farmer lived in the village of Manipuram. He had three daughters. All of his daughters are married and living happily. The farmer was aging. He wanted to distribute his wealth to his daughters. But she wanted to know what responsibility she could give to each of her daughters. He called all his daughters and gave each one a bundle of millet. He asked them to make the best use of the grain and come to him a year later.

A year later, the daughters returned to their father's house. The farmer welcomed everyone.

First, he called the eldest daughter and asked what she had done with the grain she had given him. She replied, 'Dad, I fed those grains to the bird flocks I saw on the way home.'

Then the father called the second daughter and asked the same thing. She replied, 'Dad, I thought those grains were sacred. So I mixed them with other grains I had for community food service so everyone could get it. Then the third daughter came. The farmer asked her about the grains.

She said, “Dad, I don't have those grains now. I need two oxen and a man to get grain. ” The father was confused and said, 'Why do you need oxen and oxen to bring grain?' Asked her. The daughter replied with a smile, “I planted that grain and now it has grown into a crop. So, I need a cow cart, people have to harvest and bring back the grain. The father was pleased to learn that she was using the grain wisely.

The father found her suitable and gave her charge of the fields. He shared his other wealth equally with the other two daughters.
