An honest man lived with his wife. They had a pet dog, which they feed from their own kitchen with fish and tit-bit. One day, when the couple went to work in their garden, their dog stood in one place and started barking. When the couple dug up the place, they found pieces of gold and silver buried there. They amassed treasure, gave alms to the poor, and became rich by buying paddy fields and fields.

The stingy elderly couple became jealous of their neighbor and borrowed the dog to see if they could find any treasure with the dog's help. They took the dog to the garden. Walked in the garden without barking for a long time. Finally, the dog stopped at a certain place and started sniffing. They hurriedly dug the place, but found only dirty and bad stuff. The enraged elderly couple killed the dog.

When the good old man found out that his dog was buried in the root of a pine tree, with a heavy heart, he burned incense and decorated the tomb with flowers. That night, the dog appeared to him in his sleep, cut down the pine tree where it was buried, made it a mound, and instructed him to think of it as a dog and use it. The old man did as he was told, but as he grinded his rice into it, each rice turned into something rich treasure.

The evil couple who saw this borrowed the mortar. But once they used it, all of their rice turned dirty. So, they broke it in anger and burned it. One night, the dog appeared in the old man's dream again. Sprinkle the ashes of the burnt sand on the withered trees. The trees are revived and bloom with flowers.

He obeyed the dog as instructed and resurrected the dead trees. A certain prince used his power and gave him a great reward. But the jealous neighbors attacked the prince's guards when they tried to do the same. Finally, when the good old couple heard this, they called the neighbor and gave him a share of their own wealth. After this, the wicked changed their ways and lived a good and virtuous life forever.
