ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു ഞാനിവിടെ കരഞ്ഞു
കഴിയുകയായിരുന്നു. പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നവരുടെ
ആഗ്രഹം ഒരിക്കല്‍ ഈശ്വരന്‍ സാധിച്ചു ;
കൊടുക്കുമല്ലോ.
അങ്ങ്‌ സന്യാസിയായതറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അങ്ങയെ ]
മാത്രം ഓര്‍ത്ത്‌ തപസ്സിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു
ഞാന്‍. അങ്ങ്‌ എന്നെ ഓര്‍ത്താലും
ഓര്‍ത്തില്ലെങ്കിലും അങ്ങയെ കാണാന്‍ ]
കഴിഞ്ഞതില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ധന്യയാണ്‌.
ഇത്രയും പറഞ്ഞു ദു:ഖം സഹിക്കാനാവാതെ
തൊണ്ടയിടറി ഒരക്ഷരം പറയാനാവാതെ അവള്‍
നിന്നു. വേർപിരിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഭാവശാലികൾ
(സ്നേഹമുള്ളവര്‍ വീണ്ടും കണ്ടുമുട്ടുമ്പോള്‍
സന്തോഷം നും പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കുന്നതിലും
തീവമായിരിക്കും,
പ്രഭാതത്തില്‍ മഞ്ഞിന്‍ കണങ്ങളിറ്റു വീഴുന്നതും
പൂര്‍ണശോഭയോടെ വിരിഞ്ഞു
നില്‍ക്കുന്നതുമായ പനിനീര്‍പൂ
പോലെയിരിക്കുന്ന അവളുടെ മുഖത്തേക്ക്‌
ധീരനായ യതി നോക്കി നില്‍ക്കവേ
ആരാണതെന്ന്‌ ദിവാകരന്‍ പെട്ടെന്ന്‌
തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. വലിയ കയതുകത്തോടെ പഴയ
കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഓര്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മനോഹരമായ
