കടലിലെ എല്ലാ വിജയങ്ങള്‍ക്കും മേലെ അത്‌ ]
ഉയര്‍ന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നു. വേലിയിറക്കത്തിൽ അത്‌

ഈ മത്സ്യത്തിനെ പിടിക്കാന്‍ വൃലക്ത്രികള്‍ക്കും ]
ചൂണ്ടയ്ക്കും മറ്റു മബ്യങ്ങളുടെ
വായ്ത്ത്തലക്കും കഴിയുന്നില്ല. പരുന്തുകൾ
അവനെ പിടിച്ചില്ല. ഉപ്പ ല്‍ അവന് അകപ്പെ ;

നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും അവതാരങ്ങളും അവന്റെ
തലയ്ക്ക്‌ മീര ഡലിനു മീതേയോ കട

കടലിന്റെ ഭ്രാന്തമായ രക്ത ത്തിലൂ ടെ, ഒരു
ചുട്ടുപഴുത്ത സൂചിപ്പൊട്ടുപോലെ
ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ഈ സമയമത്രയും
മത്സ്യത്തെക്കാള്‍ വേഗത്തിൽ കടൽ അതിന്റെ
പിന്നിൽ ദഹിച്ചു ദഹിച്ചു വരുന്നത്‌ അത്‌
അറിയുന്നില്ല. ചെറുതിന്റെ അതിജീവനവും
അതിലെ സാഹസികമായ ഇച്ഛാശ ക്തിയുമാണ്‌

അന്വേഷിച്ചിറങ്ങിയ ചാള്‍സ്‌ ഡാർവിൻ
എത്തിച്ചേര്‍ന്ന നിഗമനങ്ങളിലൊന്ന്‌ 'അര്‍ഹ
തയുള്ളവ അതിജീവിക്കുന്നു' എന്നാണ്‌.
'അതിജീവനത്തില്‍, അതീവതത്പരരായവർ
അര്‍ഹതയ്ക്ക്‌ കരുത്ത്‌, മെയ്വഴക്കം,ശാലീത്വം,
തന്ത്രം തുടങ്ങിയ അര്‍ത്ഥങ്ങള്‍ കല്പ്പിച്ചു. അതിജീ
വനത്തിന്റെ പ്രകൃതിരഹസ്യട ആര്‍ക്കും
നിഷേധിക്കാവതല്ലല്ലോ.
അവതാര കഥയുടെ ഇതിഹാസ സാഗ രം താണ്ടി
'മത്സ്യം' ഡാര്‍വിന്റെ ഷരീക്ഷണശാലയിലെത്തി.
അവതാ ൦സ്യുക ര്യപൂര്‍വ്വം
വിസ്മരിക്കാന്‍; കഴിഞ്ഞതിനാല്‍ ബ്രഹ്മാവിനോട്‌
ഹയഗ്രീവൻ ചെയ്ത ചതിയെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ അതിനു
വ്യസനിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നില്ല. കൃതമാലാനദിയില്‍
ഈളിയിടാനോ വൈവസ്വതമനുവിന്റെ
കൈക്കുമ്പിളില്‍ വീർപ്പുമുട്ടാനോ മൺകുടത്തിലും
കല്‍ക്കുള ത്തിലും ഗംഗാനദിയിലുമായി
നീന്തിത്തുടിക്കാനോ അതിനെ ആരും
നിര്‍ബന്ധിച്ചില്ല. അതിജീവനത്തിനുള്ള മെയ്വഴക്കം ]
മാത്രം അത്‌ പരിശീലിച്ചു.
തന്റെ ചെറുപ്പം മറന്ന്‌ കടൽത്തിരയോടു
പൊരുതിനിൽല്‍ക്കാന്‍ മത്സ്യ ത്തിനു കഴിഞ്ഞത്‌
പുതിയ കാലത്തിന്റെ മെയ്വഴക്കം ശീലിച്ചതു
കൊണ്ടാണ്‌. വേലിയേറ്റങ്ങളും
വേലിയിറക്കങ്ങളും ചൂണ്ടകളേയും
തളര്‍ത്തിയില്ല. വലക്കണ്ണികളേയും ചൂണ്ടകളേയും
അത്‌ അതിജീ വിച്ചു.
ഒരു കഥയിലും പിടികൊടുക്കാതെ, ടം
കണ്ണാടിയിലും പതിയാതെ, ഒരു ലും
നാണംകെടാതെ, വ്യവസ്ധാപ്ളത്ത്തിന റെ
ഭാഗമായി തലയുയര്‍ത്തിനിന്ന്‌
മത്സ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചാണ്‌ കു
പറയാനുള്ളത്‌. ഫ്‌
കടലിന്റെ ഭ്രാന്തുപിടിച്ച രക്തത്തിലൂടെ
ചുട്ടുപഴുത്തസൂചിപ്പൊ ട്ടുപോലെ
ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ബുദ്ധിശാലിയായ മത്സ്യത്തിനു
പിന്നിൽ അതിനേക്കാള്‍ വേഗത്തില്‍
ദഹിച്ചുവരുന്ന കടല്‍, കവി നൽകുന്ന
മുന്നറിയിപ്പാണ്‌. ഈ മുന്നറിയില്ടി പലരും പണ്ട്‌
നല്‍കിക്കഴിഞ്ഞതാണ്‌. ആധ്യാത്മികമായ
സ:മ്യതയോടെ എഴു ത്തച്ഛനും, പൂന്താനവും
അതു പറഞ്ഞുതന്നു. പരുഷമായ ഭാഷ യിൽ
പറഞ്ഞവരും ഗയരവത്തോടെ
താക്കീതുനല്‍കിയവരുമുണ്ട്‌.
എന്നിട്ടും ടി.പി.രാജീവന് അത്‌
ആവര്‍ത്തിക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു. വിമര്‍ശനാത്മകത,
തത്ത്വചിന്ത, പ്രവചനാത്മകത എന്നിവ സമ്മേ
ളിക്കുന്നിടത്താണ്‌ മികച്ച കവിത ജനിക്കുന്നത്‌.

പഹാസ്യത്തിന്റെ ഛായ സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
ഏറ്റവും സുരക്ഷി തമെന്നു കരുതി
താലോലിക്കുന്ന ഒന്ന്‌ ദയനീയമായിപൊളിഞ്ഞു
വീഴാന്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്നിടത്താണ്‌
ആക്ഷേപഹാസ്യത്തിന്റെ മുൾമുന തെളിയുന്നത്‌.
സ്വാര്‍ത്ഥത്തിനായുള്ള പരിഭ്രാന്തി അതിന്‌ ആക്കം

കവിതയിലെ തത്ത്വചിന്ത ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്‌
അവസാന ഖണ്ഡത്തിലാണ്‌. ആദ്യഭാഗങ്ങളിലെ
ഉത്സാഹം കണ്ട്‌ ആവേശംകൊണ്ട അനുവാചകന്‍
ഇവിടെടയെത്തുമ്പോള്‍ തെല്ല്‌ പരിഭ്രമിക്കുന്നു.
പിന്നീട്‌ ഓരോ ഖണ്ബത്തിലേക്കും മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്ന്‌
കാര്യകാരണ ങ്ങൾ തുലനം ചെയ്യാൻ
തുടങ്ങുകയായി. അപ്പോള്‍ നിര്‍വേദ ഭാവം
കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു. പ്രവചനാത്മകത
രൂടടകൊളളുന്നത്‌, ഒഴിഞ്ഞുമാറിയും
തിരിഞ്ഞതിര്‍ത്തും കീഴടങ്ങിയും കീഴട ക്കിയും
മത്സ്യം പ്രതിസന്ധികളെ തരണം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
പരാജയ പ്പെട്ടവരേയോ പതറിപ്പോയവരേയോ ]
തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കാന്‍ അതു കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നില്ല.
അതിജീവനം മാത്രമേ അതിനു മുന്നിലുള്ളൂ.
ഓരോ നിമിഷവും അത്‌ ജീവിതത്തിനു വേഗം ]
കൂട്ടുകയാണ്‌. അങ്ങനെ അത്‌ ചുട്ടുപഴുത്ത ;
സൂചിപോലെ കടലിന്റെ രക്ത ത്തിലൂടെ
പ്രവഹിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി. ]
കാലത്തിനൊത്ത്‌ കോലം കെട്ടിയും ന
നാട്ടില്‍ നടുക്കണ്ടം തിന്നും അഃ 'വിജയം ]
നേടി. ഇതിനെയാണ്‌ പ്രായോ ദ്ധി എന്നു
പറയുന്നത്‌. ഏതുകാലത്തും ജീവിക്കാൻ ;
ഇതുവേണമത്‌. ം 2 യ *
പ്രായോഗികബുദ്ധി ച്ചു ]
പരുവപ്പെടും തിവു ഡി യായി മാറുന്നു. ]
അങ്ങനെ ിനരിടാനുള്ള മെയ്വഴക്കം
നേടാം. ജയങ്ങള്‍ എത്രത്തോളം ശാശ്വാ
തമാ ണ്‌ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ പ്രശ്നം ]
ഉടലെടുക്കുന്നത്‌. അതു നിരിച്ചറിയാന്‍ ചില
തിരിഞ്ഞുനോട്ടങ്ങൾ ആവശ്യമാണ്‌. ]
മണല്‍ തരിയോളം പോന്നൊരു മത്സ്യം/
കടല്‍ത്തരിയോട്‌ ഒറ്റത്ത്‌ പൊരുതിനിന്നു.
എന്നിടത്താണ്‌ കവിത ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്‌. ഇത്‌
ഭരമമണ്ഡലത്തിലെ എല്ലാ ജീവികളേയും
സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന സമസ്യയാണ്‌. പ്രപഞ്ച ത്തിന്റെ
അപാരതയ്ക്കു മുന്നിൽ അവ നിരന്തരം പോരാടി
നില്‍ക്കുന്നു. നിലനിൽപ്പിനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള
സമരമായിട്ടാണ്‌ പരിഠാമശാസ്ത്രം ഇതിനെ
അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്‌. നില നില്‍പ്പിനു
വേണ്ടിയാണെങ്കില്‍ പോലും സ്ഥലപ്രപഞ്ചത്തോ
ടുള്ള ആരതിയും അതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ
പോരാട്ടവും പരിമിത ഷടുത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്ന
നിലപാടാണ്‌ വേദാന്തികൾക്കുള്ളത്‌. _
വേലിയേറ്റങ്ങളുടെ വൈകുന്നേരങ്ങളില്‍ അവൻ
എല്ലാ കൊടി കള്‍ക്കും മുകളില്‍/*ഒഴുക്കുകള്‍ ;
ഉള്‍വലിയുമ്പോള്‍ എല്ലാ രഹസ, മ്‌ ;
അടിയില്‍ എന്ന്‌ രണ്ടാംഖണ്ഡത്തിൽ അതിജീവ ]
നത്തിന്റെ അടുത്തതലംകവി ആഖ്യാനം
ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇവിടെ അതി ജീവനത്ത ]
ആഘോഷമാക്കി മാറ്റുന്നതാണ്‌ നാം കാണുന്നത്‌.
കൃതികമായ്‌അതിജീവനതന്ത്രങ്ങളേക്കാള്‍
തന്ത്രശാലിത്വവും മെയ്‌ വഴക്കവും ഇവിടെ ;
പ്രധാനമായിത്തീരുന്നു. ഏതു പ്രപഞ്ച
ശക്തിയെയും കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്താനുള്ള കരുത്തുണ്ടെന്ന
അഹന്ത ഇതിനു പിന്നിലുണ്ട്‌. ഇത്തരം
സന്ദര്‍ഭങ്ങളില്‍ വേദാന്തികൾ നൽകുന്ന ]
അനുഭവസാക്ഷ്യം ഭോഗങ്ങളെല്ലാം ക്ഷണപ്രഭാച
തലം/ വേഗേന നഷ്ടമായുസ്സുമോര്‍ക്ക നീ

പക്ഷേ, ഇതു ചെവിക്കൊള്ളാന്‍ അധികമാരും
കൂട്ടാക്കാറില്ല. ജ്ഞാനപ്പാന' കൊണ്ട്‌ പൂന്താനം

വേദാന്തികള്‍ താക്കീതു ചെയ്തേക്കാം. സമ്പത്തും
അധികാ രവും ജനസമ്മതിയുമുട്ടെങ്കിൽ
'മഹാമോഹം' ആകാമെന്നുതുന്നെ ചരിത്രം
പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
അത്തരക്കാരുടെ ലിജയഗാഥ കവി തുടരുന്നു:
അവന/ പരുന്തിന്‍കണ്ണുകള്‍ക്ക്‌
കോര്‍ത്തെടുക്കാനോ ഉപ്പു (വയലുകള്‍ക്ക്‌
ഉണക്കിവെടഭറെനോ/ ധ്രുവങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ മരവിപ്പി
ക്കാനോ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ദിതിപാലകന്മാര്‍ അവന്റെ
നീതിയാണ്‌ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നത്‌. അവ രുടെ
പരുന്തിന്‍ കണ്ണുകള്‍ അവനുമേല്‍ നീളുകയില്ല.
നിയമ സംഹിതയുടെ വിലക്കുകള്‍ അവനെ

ഏത്‌ ഈരാക്കുടുക്കുകളില്‍ നിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെടാനും
ലളിത സമ വാക്യങ്ങൾ ഇന്നു ലഭ്യമാണ്‌. !
കൈക്കൂലി, ശരീരമടക്കമുള്ള കാഴ്ചദ്രവ്യങ്ങൾ,
ആള്‍ബലം, ജാതിമതപിന്തുണകൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ]
നിണ്ടുപോകുന്ന പട്ടികയില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ തരാതരം,
പോലെ വിഭവങ്ങള്‍ നിരത്തി ജീവി; റ
ഭദ്രമാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയും. അതിനാ; സ, ]

ഏതു നിലയ്ക്കും കൈയൂക്കുള്ളവന്‍ തന്നെയാണ്‌
കാര്യക്കാ രന്‍,നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും/ അവതാരങ്ങളും/
അവന്റെ തലയ്ക്കോ വാലിനോ മുകളിലൂടെ
കടന്നുപോയി 'അന്തിമവിധി എപ്പോഴും അവന്
അനു കൂലമായിരുന്നുവെന്ന്‌ ക
ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.
മഗ്ദലനമറിയത്തൊടി വക്കാന്‍ അഭിനവശീമോന്‌
ഒരിക്കലും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുണ്ടായി ല്ല. തിരുപ്പിറവി
ആഘോഷങ്ങളും പെരുന്നാൾ നൊയമ്പുകളും
അവന്റെ ചെലവിലാണ്‌ കൊണ്ടാടപ്പെട്ടത്‌.
അവന്റെ ഗുണഗണങ്ങൾ മാത്രം വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടു.
അവന് ഒരു കഥയിലും പിടികൊടുത്തില്ല ഒരു
കണ്ണാടിയിലും ഴ്ച്ചയായില്ല/ ഒരു ചന്തയിലും
നാണംകെട്ടില്ല. വന്‍ കൈവരിച്ച മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ
സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങള്‍ ഇവയാണ്‌.
നേട്ടങ്ങളുടെ മാത്രം യശോധാവള്യത്തില്‍
നിലയുറപ്പിക്കാനും ആന്തര ലോകങ്ങൾ ഗോപനം
ചെയ്യാനും കഴിയുന്നവരാണ്‌ ലോകത്ത്‌
ഉത്തമമാതൃകകള്‍. അവരെ ഒരു ക
ഏശുകയില്ല. സ്വന്തം സത്യസന്ധത തെളിയിക്കാൻ
അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ മുഹ യില്‍ വില
പേശേണ്ടി വരുന്നില്ല. അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി
വിലനിശ്ചയി ക്കാനുള്ള ഇടനിലക്കാരെ അവര്‍
തന്നെ സജ്ജരാക്കിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു._
സമൂഹത്തില്‍ വില്യുട നിലയും നേടുന്ന
'ജീവിതവിജയ കളെ ക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള
ബ്രഹദാഖ്യാനമാണ്‌ കവി ഇവിടെ
ലിന ത്‌.അവര്‍ നമുക്കുചുറ്റും
തലയു; ി നിൽക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാ നിയമങ്ങളും
അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടവയാണ്‌.
മാറിമാറി വരുന്ന ഭരണകര്‍ത്താക്കള്‍ അവരുടെ
സംരക്ഷകരായിത്തീരുന്നു. അവരായിത്തീരാനാണ്‌
നാം ഓരോരുത്തരും ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്‌. അവർ
പ്രകൃതിയെ കീഴടക്കിയവരാണ്‌. ഭൂമിയിലെ എല്ലാ
വിഭവങ്ങളും തങ്ങള്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി
സു മഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുതാണെന്നും കരുത്താണ്‌ അതി
ജീവനത്തിന്റെ താക്കോലെന്നും അവർ ]
വിളംബരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
അതിനെതിരായ ദുര്‍ബലശബ്ദങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ
വിജയാരവ ങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍
മുങ്ങിപ്പോവുകയാണു ചെയ്യുന്നത്‌. ഇത്തരം ;
പ്രലോഭനങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊന്നും അവരുടെ
വിജയഗാഥയെ ദുര്‍ബലപ്പെടുത്താന: ഷം
